Wooden louvred shutter doors painted in a bright ocean blue colour can be closed at night or to create shade during the tropical afternoons.

Two small bedrooms have been portioned off, and there is a bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. The house can comfortably sleep four.
The cabin sits on 16,065 sq ft of lovely rural land and is built towards one side of the lot, thereby allowing plenty of space for an additional cottage or even a large family home. The land is gently sloping, with a (mostly dry) ravine along one boundary, which is fringed by several mature, fruit-bearing trees including a huge tamarind tree.

There are established homes nearby but the cottage has lots of privacy. This is a quiet rural, low to middle-income neighbourhood, very friendly and laid-back in nature. Within a mile or so lies the fantastically beautiful beach of Anse l'Ivroigne: home to Yokahu, the Amerindian spirit of the Gros Piton. Also nearby is the small boutique resort of Tet Rouge. The nearest village is Choiseul, about 10 minutes' drive away, and a couple of miles of winding, narrow countryside road brings you to the south-side of Soufriere, home to a range of very high-end boutique hotels including Ladera, Hotel Chocolat, Sugar Beach and (on the north side of Soufriere town), Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain.
