Establishment of an MIS for Ministry
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, as part of its ongoing programme of institutional strengthening, invites applications for the design and establishment of a Management Information System for the Ministry. It is the Ministry's intention to establish a platform that will allow for the networking of its various departments, divisions and regional offices, and permit the management of all relevant sector information. It is expected that the successful applicant will, after detailed discussions with key Ministry officers and sector stakeholders: * Design an MIS that will facilitate the management of information on, inter alia, the financial management of capital programmes, agricultural commodity production, domestic and export marketing of agriculutral products, natural resource management, human resource management, and investments in the sector. * Recommend hardware and software required for the implementation of the MIS; * Recommend appropriate training for the intended users of the system; * Oversee the implementation of the MIS.
