Vacancy Note for a Director, Corporate Services, OECS Secetariat. The candidate will be expected to assume responsibility for all the administrative functions of the Secretariat, and for the provision of advise and technical support to the Institutions of the Organisation whicn are based both inside and outside of St. Lucia. Such support will also be necessary from time to time in respect of externally funded projects, which are managed and executed by the Secretariat. In particular, he/she will be expected to coordinate the work of the technical staff of the Human Resources Management, Financial and Accounting,Information and Documentation, and General Administration Programmes. The candidate should therefore be familiar with the workings of organisations of a regional/international nature, evidenced by experience at a senior level in such organisations either in the public or private sector. An understanding of the workings of the public service, would, however, be advantageous. The successful candidate would, in addition to several years of relevant experience, have academic qualifications at the post graduate level, and have received specialised training in at least two of the relevant subject areas. He/she should have been exposed to the management and co-ordination of the work of professionals in different disciplines, and to dealing with policy makers of governmental and international organisations at the highest level.
