Sanitary Engineer. Main responsibility: Providing engineering advice and assistance to all CEHI Member States in waste and water management. The Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank (ECHMB) is an independent privately-managed mortgage bank which is engaged in buying and selling mortgage loans for the purpose of providing greater liquidity to the primary lending institutions, as well as assisting the development of the region's capital market. The ECHMB invites applications for the position of Manager, Research and Marketing. The Manager, Research and Marketing will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for the following: * Monitoring policy and data development pertaining to residential and commercial real estate markets and mortgage lending, and producing such reports as are necessary to support the Bank's strategies. * Managing the Bank's data products including mortgage lending data base. This includes generating, maintaining, updating, and increasing available data series in each product, ensuring publication on a semi-annual basis with timely delivery, and monitoring quality control. * Managing a regular estimation and delivery of a Monthly Mortgage Loan Application Survey, as well as applications for House Planning approval. * Contributing to the Bank's publication by writing articles as directed, on topics derived from data expertise and related to the interests of primary lenders. * Initiating the Bank's work in data gathering, organising survey questionnaires and dissemination for research projects, legislative and regulatory requirements. * Developing marketing strategies based in market research. * Conducting periodic customer surveys to launch new products and services. * Identifying and developing new products and services for the Bank to offer to primary lenders. * Monitoring and understanding the emerging marketing needs of the primary lenders. * Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. The Manager, Research and Marketing will have extensive knowledge of the financial services industry as well as mortgage marketing techniques and strategies. A graduate degree in Economics, Business or Finance, with demonstrated expertise in mortgage lending data base management, including company financial performance and operations, as well as data and information needs are very important. Basic statistical and other analytical skills are required. A strong computer background is necessary. The individual must also possess creativity and flexibility in the marketing area. He/She must be an effective spokes person for the Bank and valuable resource person with particular emphasis on enhancing the image of the Bank as well as generating business opportunities.
