Duties and Tasks: The specific duties of the Field Scientist are: 1. Deploy instruments and collect samples for the analysis of hydrological processes. Specific tasks include: * Deployment and maintenance of watershed hydrological monitoring equipment including data retrieval. * Sediments sampling and coordination of analysis with selected laboratories. * River profile measurements and watershed and marine surveys. 2. Assist in data analysis and the integration of environmental quality data collection with other data collection programmes. This will include measurements of water and sediment quality. 3. Assist in the establishment of a comprehensive network of hydrometeorology stations to be installed around the island, to provide information related to crop irrigation and drainage requirements. 4. Assist in the management, control and rehabilitation within critical drainage basins.
