This property consists of 3.7 acres of freehold land, plus 1.3 acres of river reserve at River Doree, located on the south-west (Caribbean Sea) coast of St Lucia, midway between Laborie and Choiseul.
The land is near the main road, but set very privately and could accommodate approximately 15 Creole-style cottages, as well as a central building with restaurant and other facilities, as well as a pool. It would also be a magnificent site for a private villa.

There are numerous Arawak and Carib (Amerindian) remains on the land, and the ruins of an 18/19th century sugar factory, located on a slight plateau above the river. This has evidently been a site of human habitation for many centuries. There are many beautiful old trees on the property, and the other side of the river has a huge rockface, with remnants of an irrigation canal that used to feed the waterwheel of the sugar mill. The river is small and in normal times just about calf-deep, but can rise during rain storms. The sound of the flowing water is extremely pleasant and restful.
The beach is a sandy cove, where the river runs into the sea, with rocks to either side. The 1.3 acres of river reserve can be leased but not privatized. The land bounds also with the Queen's Chain, which is basically the 150 ft of public beach that runs all around the island. Because of the lay of the land and river, there are no seaviews from the main portion of the land but river views. There are water and electricity at the top end of the property, a decent access road, and the main road is neraby. The land lies about 20 minutes' away from the main international airport, 15 minutes from Soufriere, and 15 minutes from Vieux Fort.
