The hardwood used to construct this house comes from South America, and is durable and resilient while retaining the live quality of all natural materials. It lends the house a particularly pleasant atmosphere both inside and out. The house is built on a concrete slab supported on pillars, thus elevating it to the highest point of the land and maximizing the views. The property is accessed from below, along a private concrete driveway which is flanked by a retaining wall on one side and a drain on the other.
